Hooray! It is Friday!!
Just a reminder:
CRCT IS MONDAY!
Get plenty of rest, arrive at school by 8:00am, eat a healthy breakfast, and bring two No. 2 pencils each day. Also, try not to be absent any day next week. Have a great weekend!

Our webpage is finished! Parents will be getting a letter tomorrow which will include the two webpage addresses our class has created! The bell is ringing so more from us tomorrow!
It has been a long time since we last posted, but here goes:
We have a Math Test on Wednesday. Mrs. Sturdivant has created our website for our multi-genre projects. There is only one week until CRCT and we are reviewing this week to help us prepare. We are just beginning CH 2 Unit E in Science and we are finishing Geometry. The school has place picnic tables outside of the lunchroom and we are scheduled to dine out there Thursday!
Today in Math we began the Geometry chapter. We are learning how to draw and identify angles. It was the first time for some of us to use a protractor. Tomorrow in Science we will check on our experiment to determine the physical and chemical changes of our potato, apple and steel wool. Eventually, we will be making ice cream as a part of our Matter Unit!
This week in Math we have been multiplying fractions and mixed numbers. We also had to remember to put our answers in simplest form. We learned the formula for converting Celcius to Fahernheit, which is F=9/5C+32. Over half of the class made an A on the Chapter 8 Math Test! In Science we are learning about the three states of matter: solid, liquid and gas. We have learned the difference in physical and chemical changes. Mrs. Sturdivant even inflated a balloon with vinegar and baking soda. We are also testing the effect of oxygen on an apple, potato and steel wool. Our Daily Geography lesson this week has focused on rivers of the United States.
Welcome to my blog! I will be reporting our class activities and discoveries here. I intend to prove that Math is used in everyday life! For example, you can't prepare a recipe unless you know how to use Math.
